Terms of use

These terms apply to the use of the online shop robobee.gr and to every order placed through it. Please read them before you order. By submitting an order you confirm that you accept them.

1. Who we are

The online shop robobee.gr belongs to the sole proprietorship RoboBee – Chalvatzopoulos Andreas (hereinafter ‘the shop’ or ‘we’).

  • Registered address: Ippolytou 2, 26441 Patras
  • VAT number (AFM): 132055334, Tax Office: A’ Patras
  • GEMI (General Commercial Registry) number: 158080516000
  • Email: info@robobee.gr

We do not have a physical shop. Collection from our registered address is by appointment only.

2. Definitions

A customer is any person who submits an order to the shop. A consumer is a customer who is a natural person and buys for purposes unrelated to their trade, business or profession. The rights that the law grants specifically to consumers (such as the 14-day right of withdrawal) apply to consumers only.

3. Acceptance and amendment of the terms

We may amend these terms by publishing the new version on this page. Each order is governed by the terms published at the time it was submitted. Changes do not affect orders that have already been placed.

4. Account and user obligations

You can order as a guest or after creating an account. Orders are accepted only from persons aged 18 or over.

As a user of the shop you must:

  • provide true, accurate and complete details and keep them up to date,
  • keep your password safe, not disclose it to third parties, and inform us immediately at info@robobee.gr if you suspect that someone else has used it,
  • not use the website for unlawful purposes or in a way that interferes with its operation,
  • respect the intellectual and industrial property rights of the shop and of third parties.

You are responsible for everything done through your account until you inform us of unauthorised use. We reserve the right to deactivate an account with false details or an account that is being misused.

5. Ordering and formation of the contract

The presentation of products on the website is an invitation to submit an order. Your order is an offer to buy. Immediately after submitting it you receive an email confirming that we have received it. The sales contract is formed when we accept the order, that is, when we inform you that we are processing it or when we dispatch it.

We may decline or cancel an order when the product is not available, when there is an obvious error in the price or description, when payment is not confirmed, or when the order details are incomplete or inaccurate and we are unable to contact you. In these cases we inform you and refund without delay any amount you have paid.

The contract is concluded in the Greek language. Your order details are sent to you by email and, if you have an account, remain available there.

6. Products and availability

We make every effort to ensure that descriptions, photos, technical specifications and availability are accurate. Photos are for illustration only and there may be minor differences, for example in the colour of a board or in the packaging, which do not affect how the product works.

If a product you ordered turns out to be unavailable, we inform you and you can choose to wait, to replace it with another product, or to cancel the product or the whole order and receive a refund.

7. Nature of the products

We mainly sell electronic components, development boards, sensors and spare parts, not ready-made devices. Using them usually requires knowledge of electronics and programming. We do not undertake programming, assembly or circuit design unless expressly agreed. Documentation, libraries and code examples are provided by the manufacturers.

Before connecting or installing a component, make sure it is suitable for your application and follow the manufacturer’s specifications (voltage, current, wiring).

8. Prices

Prices are shown in euros and include VAT. They do not include shipping costs, which are shown separately in the basket and at checkout before you complete your order. We may change prices at any time. Each order is charged at the price shown at the time it was submitted.

Offers are valid for the period stated or while stocks last. For obvious pricing errors, see the page Pricing errors.

9. Payment

The available payment methods are described on the page Payment methods and are shown at checkout. A legally required tax document is issued for every order.

10. Shipping and delivery

Shipping methods, costs and times are described on the page Shipping methods. Delivery times are indicative. In any case, the order is delivered no later than 30 days after the contract is formed, unless we agree otherwise. What happens if delivery is delayed is described on the page Order delays.

The risk of loss of or damage to the products passes to you when you, or a person you have designated, receive them.

11. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from the purchase within 14 calendar days of receipt, without giving any reason. The conditions, exceptions, procedure and model withdrawal form can be found on the page Product returns, which forms part of these terms.

12. Defective products and guarantee

We are liable to the consumer for any lack of conformity of the product that exists at the time of delivery and becomes apparent within two years of it, in accordance with articles 534 et seq. of the Civil Code and Law 2251/1994, as in force. If the manufacturer provides its own commercial guarantee, this applies in addition and under the terms the manufacturer sets. Details can be found on the page Product returns.

13. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for damage caused by use of the products contrary to the manufacturer’s specifications, by incorrect wiring, installation or modification, or by incompatibility with other equipment that you had not told us about before the purchase. Choosing the right component for each application is the customer’s responsibility.

We try to keep the website running continuously and without errors, but we cannot guarantee this. We are not liable for temporary inability to access it, nor for the content of third-party websites to which we link.

Nothing above limits our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor the rights that the law grants to consumers and from which no derogation is permitted.

14. Force majeure

We are not liable for delay in or inability to fulfil an order caused by events beyond our control, such as extreme weather, strikes, delays at customs or with carriers, and network failures. We inform you as soon as possible, and if the obstacle persists you may cancel the order with a full refund.

15. Intellectual and industrial property

The texts, photos, graphics, design and software of the website, as well as the RoboBee name and logo, belong to the shop or to third parties who have granted us the right to use them, and are protected by Law 2121/1993 and international conventions. Copying, reproducing, republishing, distributing or modifying them, in whole or in part, is not permitted without our prior written permission. Saving or printing individual pages for personal, non-commercial use is permitted.

Third-party trademarks and product names that appear on the website belong to their respective owners and are mentioned only to describe the products.

16. Personal data

How we process your personal data and which cookies we use is described on the page Personal data.

17. Complaints and out-of-court dispute resolution

For any complaint, write to us at info@robobee.gr. We reply as soon as possible and try to resolve every matter amicably.

If you are a consumer and are not satisfied, you may turn to the Consumer Ombudsman (Leof. Alexandras 144, 114 71 Athens) or to another alternative consumer dispute resolution body registered in the relevant register for out-of-court resolution of the dispute.

18. Applicable law and courts

These terms and every contract concluded through the shop are governed by Greek law. For disputes with consumers, the courts designated by law have jurisdiction. For disputes with customers who are not consumers, the courts of Patras have jurisdiction.

If any term is found to be invalid, the remaining terms continue to apply.
