Description
The Arduino UNO Q is a hybrid board with "two brains". It combines the Qualcomm® Dragonwing™ QRB2210 microprocessor, which runs Linux® Debian, with the STM32U585 real-time microcontroller (MCU). It works as an Arduino and as a computer at the same time, so you can use it for whatever you want to build.
Why it is suitable for robotics and IoT prototypes:
- Everything on one board: the Qualcomm® Dragonwing™ QRB2210 microprocessor (MPU) and the STM32U585 real-time microcontroller (MCU) cover every kind of project.
- Artificial intelligence: you can build AI vision and audio applications that react to their environment.
- Arduino support: you have access to development tools, libraries, sketches and projects created by millions of users for the UNO ecosystem.
- Compatibility with the Arduino UNO ecosystem: it accepts a wide range of Arduino hardware, from classic UNO shields to the new carriers. It also has a Qwiic connector for Modulino® nodes and third-party modules.
- Simple software environment: in addition to the Arduino IDE and Arduino Cloud, Arduino App Lab offers many ready-made examples and AI models for a quick start.
- Unified development: you write classic Arduino Sketches, program in Python® on the pre-installed Linux® Debian, or combine the two, all from one environment, Arduino App Lab.
With Qualcomm Dragonwing QRB2210 processor
The UNO Q is a small, affordable platform with advanced capabilities, such as machine vision. These capabilities are provided by the Dragonwing QRB2210:
- built-in AI acceleration and GPU
- quad-core CPU at 2.0 GHz
- Adreno GPU
- 2x ISP
- camera, display and audio support
Key features
- Microprocessor: Qualcomm® Dragonwing™ QRB2210
- Microcontroller: STM32U585, real-time, low-power
- RAM: 2GB LPDDR4
- Storage: 16 GB built-in eMMC memory, no SD card needed
- Wireless connectivity: dual-band Wi-Fi® 5 (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth® 5.1
- High-speed headers: for advanced vision, audio and display peripherals
- Classic UNO headers: for fitting shields that add functions
- LED matrix: 8 x 13 LEDs for visual creation and status indication
- USB-C connector: power, video output, or connection of a keyboard, mouse, USB microphones or USB cameras via an adapter (dongle)
- Qwiic connector: easy expansion with Modulino® nodes, no soldering
The UNO Q helps you turn your ideas into real applications, whether you are experimenting with IoT, learning robotics or working with artificial intelligence.
What is Arduino App Lab
Unified development environment
App Lab is a new integrated development environment (IDE) that unifies work on Linux® and on a real-time operating system. It comes pre-installed on the UNO Q. It combines Arduino Sketches, Python® scripts and containerised AI models into fully integrated applications, all managed from one environment.
Ready-made Apps and Bricks
Arduino Apps are self-contained examples that include everything you need to get started quickly. Ready-made Bricks add plug-and-play functions to your projects, so you can bring your ideas to life even faster.
Pre-installed AI models
The pre-installed AI models in Arduino App Lab use real-world data for many applications:
- object/person detection
- anomaly detection
- image classification
- sound recognition
- keyword spotting
You will find more information in Arduino's official documentation.
